Network and Data Management

In today's business environment, employees face even more temptations at work which ultimately affects their productivity.  With the introduction of e-mail and the internet, employees spend valuable work time doing personal activities.  The ability to monitor all facets of an employee's time alleviates any excuses and offers concrete proof for the employer.

Are you concerned with employee productivity in regards to computer use?

CALLManager Pro v7.0 now includes computer monitoring to ascertain how much time employees spend on the internet.  This is an invaluable tool in assessing employee productivity as well as use and/or abuse during company time.  A sniffer (a program and/or device which monitors traffic over a network) is included with CALLManager Pro v7.0 and allows the monitoring of computer use.  As data streams travel back and forth over the network, the sniffer captures each packet (a formatted block of information carried by a computer network) and eventually decodes and analyzes its content according to the appropriate RFC (Request for Comments) or other specifications.  The information contained within the packets will be stored and used to generate reports in order to monitor user activity.  There are over 20 canned Network Reports available to the user in order to monitor computer and network activity as well as e-mail and internet traffic.

Would you like to be notified of the loss of data from the PBX, expensive phone calls generated from an extension, a lengthy  telephone call or other issues that affect your company's bottom line?

Alarms are now an inherent part of all CALLManager v7.0 products (Lite, Standard and Pro).  Alarms may be customized based on user needs and notifications may be sent via computer (via pop-up message), by user (via pop-up message to the computer in which they are logged in), printer, file, e-mail and/or text message.  A combination of notifications may be sent for the same alarm to ensure the proper personnel are alerted.  Some basic types of alarms that are now available are as follows:

  • Emergency Calls

  • High cost calls

  • Long Duration

  • No data from PBX

  • Low Disk Space

Networks can be vulnerable and having a management tool in place will further ensure that you are protected.
